Ombre brow powder or ombre tattooing is a semi-permanent eyebrow treatment that gives off a softer powdery finish when the skin heals. The procedure works by depositing pigment underneath the skin to improve the appearance of your brows. Once ombre brow treatment is successfully performed, the new brows can last for anything between 1 to 3 years if properly maintained. You will look as if you have makeup applied, making it ideal for women with a busy lifestyle. You won’t regret your beautiful set of brows. Call us to book your consultation.
Semi-permanent eyebrow tattooing, also commonly known as feather eyebrows, microblading or eyebrow embroidery, is a technique that was very popular back in 2013, everyone wanted Brow feathering. Using a manual tool with a thin disposable blade, a hair stroke will have being created. Imitating your own hair growth pattern while implanting pigment. The result was a very natural looking brow, often difficult to detect that it was in fact a tattoo. However with the time brow tattoo artist realised that this technique is not sustainable for the skin, as the damage to the tissue for most people was significant enough to continue having touch ups. Paulina took the decision to stop working with this technique since early 2022. Please contact us to see what is the best treatment possible for your brows and what correction techniques are available for you if you have previous eyebrow miwroblading or feathering.
When choosing ómbre or powder brows, you are choosing a semi-permanent makeup procedure to enhance your eyebrows in which Paulina will insert the pigment into the top layers of your skin with a tattoo machine using the pixelation technique. The result will be a beautiful powdery brow effect. Pigment retention will depend on skin type, age, aftercare and your immune system. Results normally will last between 12 to 24 months.
The brow tattooing process is made up of 3 different appointments:
1st Appointment: Your consultation. We need to find out if you are a candidate first, where we will discuss the procedure, pre care and aftercare. We will also choose the best technique for you, we will map an estimated design that between you and Paulina will agree, as well as cleaning and tinting your brows.
2nd Appointment: Your First Session. Your new set of brows will be applied. This session will take around 3hrs including: cleaning of your brows and mapping design. Your new brows will be custom designed to enhance your features, according to your facial proportions and your natural brow shape. Once you are happy with the shape Paulina will start the procedure. Don’t stress about pain, we work with the best Compounding pharmacy in the area for you to organise your numbing cream. Instructions will be shared with you in your consultation appointment.
At the end of your session, Paulina will show you how to apply your aftercare ointment as well as going through what to do and what to expect from your new brows.
3rd Appointment: 6 weeks touch up or the perfecting session. This appointment usually is a repeat of the first procedure. Is booked for the same time and involves the same pre and aftercare. This appointment is the most important. Your 6 weeks touch up ensures the best pigment retention and results. A 6 weeks touch up allows much more consistent bonding and appearance of the pigment into the skin, providing longevity and a beautiful look.
Paulina requires a mandatory Brow tattoo consultation to asses your brows and then once after your consultation your first session and 6 weeks touch up appointments can be organised.
We take a 50% deposit at the time of booking that has to be paid at least 7 days prior your appointments and you must provide 72 hours cancelation notice if you wish to cancel or reschedule.
We use the finest hypoallergenic pigments from Perma Blend containing no FD&Cs, Lead or coal derivatives. All materials used are 100% disposable and we strictly adhere to health and safety guidelines for proper and hygienic practices.
Numbing cream can be utilised, however we do not recommended at least for the outlining, the ink is hard to implant when numbing cream is used. However each person is different. Some can tolerate really well to the extend of expressing that they just simply feel a tiny scratch, which others can deal with it. The best thing to do is to book a consultation.
There is still a lot of confusion between above services mentioned. They are definetly not the same. Powder brows is a much less invasive procedure that doesn’t involve the cutting of the skin by creating hair stroke like incisions. Paulina being a Dermal skin therapist, has recognised the trauma feathering or microblading tattoo can do to the skin, therefore powder is preferred. However you must be assed, as not all are candidates for brow tattooing.
Yes, and this is the most important step of your aftercare, particularly to prevent infection. We recommend you to keep your brows dry for at least 5 days. Paulina will go through aftercare with you during the consultation.
